Jana Martínez .. capri

2003

Jana Martínez (2003) is a Barcelona-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice moves between audiovisual work, set design, textiles, and creative direction. Her work is driven by an ongoing exploration of materials, aesthetics, and personal narratives, allowing her practice to constantly evolve through processes of experimentation, modification, and refinement.

She recently graduated in Fine Arts from BAU, Centre Universitari d’Arts i Disseny de Barcelona. During her studies, she completed an Erasmus exchange programme in Fine Arts at Kingston University in London in 2024. Previously, she studied Fashion Design at IED Barcelona during the 2021–2022 academic year, an experience that continues to inform her interest in textiles, the body, and materiality.

Jana Martínez (2003) es una artista afincada en Barcelona cuya práctica multidisciplinar se mueve entre el trabajo audiovisual, el diseño de sets, el textil y la dirección creativa. Su trabajo parte de una exploración constante de los materiales, la estética y las narrativas personales, permitiendo que su práctica evolucione a través de procesos de experimentación, transformación y desarrollo.

Recientemente se graduó en Bellas Artes por BAU, Centre Universitari d’Arts i Disseny de Barcelona. Durante sus estudios realizó un programa de intercambio Erasmus en Bellas Artes en Kingston University, Londres, en 2024. Anteriormente, estudió Diseño de Moda en IED Barcelona durante el curso 2021–2022, una experiencia que continúa influyendo en su interés por los textiles, el cuerpo y la materialidad.

For A Summer in Wisteria, I assisted (@albrtgsprrt) in the development of the set design for Cybersweetie’s Spring/Summer 2027 campaign, creating two distinct environments inspired by maximalism, romantic interiors and colour harmony. Each setting was built around a different palette, combining layered textiles, floral elements, decorative objects and contrasting textures to create immersive and highly stylised spaces.

The first atmosphere explores a softer, pastel palette, using flowing fabrics, flowers and delicate decorative elements to create an almost dreamlike environment. The second introduces darker tones, animal prints and more ornate objects, creating a richer and more decadent atmosphere. Across both sets, the intention was to build a cohesive visual world that complemented the collection while allowing the colours, silhouettes and details of the garments to stand out.
