Jana Martínez (2003) is a Barcelona-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice moves between audiovisual work, set design, textiles, and creative direction. Her work is driven by an ongoing exploration of materials, aesthetics, and personal narratives, allowing her practice to constantly evolve through processes of experimentation, modification, and refinement.

She recently graduated in Fine Arts from BAU, Centre Universitari d’Arts i Disseny de Barcelona. During her studies, she completed an Erasmus exchange programme in Fine Arts at Kingston University in London in 2024. Previously, she studied Fashion Design at IED Barcelona during the 2021–2022 academic year, an experience that continues to inform her interest in textiles, the body, and materiality.

Jana Martínez (2003) es una artista afincada en Barcelona cuya práctica multidisciplinar se mueve entre el trabajo audiovisual, el diseño de sets, el textil y la dirección creativa. Su trabajo parte de una exploración constante de los materiales, la estética y las narrativas personales, permitiendo que su práctica evolucione a través de procesos de experimentación, transformación y desarrollo.    

Recientemente se graduó en Bellas Artes por BAU, Centre Universitari d’Arts i Disseny de Barcelona. Durante sus estudios realizó un programa de intercambio Erasmus en Bellas Artes en Kingston University, Londres, en 2024. Anteriormente, estudió Diseño de Moda en IED Barcelona durante el curso 2021–2022, una experiencia que continúa influyendo en su interés por los textiles, el cuerpo y la materialidad.

Creative direction for Blacktogrey

Habitación con ventana al sur is an editorial created in collaboration with Barcelona-based clothing brand Black to Grey for their SS26 collection. Inspired by the transition into warmer months, the project explores sunlight, domestic intimacy and the subtle uncanny within everyday life.

Taking the form of a contemporary cabinet of curiosities, the project translates a personal visual archive into a series of textile and skin-based objects.

Set Design Assistant for Cybersweetie

A Summer in Wisteria is the Spring/Summer 2027 campaign for London-based clothing brand Cybersweetie. Through two contrasting maximalist environments, the set design explores colour, texture and floral imagery to create a whimsical world where the garments become part of the atmosphere.

DOMINNICO pre-show

DOMINNICO Pre-Show is a set design project developed for the photocall of DOMINNICO’s pre-show at 080 Barcelona Fashion 2026. The installation translates the brand’s logo into a modular structure of laser-cut acrylic pieces and metal chains, creating a dynamic and graphic backdrop.
